Terms of Service
Bookd is operated by Daniel Lockwood, a sole trader registered in England and Wales. By using Bookd you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
Last updated: 12/06/2026. These terms apply to all users of www.get-bookd.co.uk.
1. What Bookd provides
Bookd is a subscription-based booking and business management platform for small service businesses in the United Kingdom. It gives business owners a public booking page and tools for managing bookings, quotes, enquiries, clients, reviews and availability.
Bookd provides the technology platform only. We are not a party to any service agreement between a business owner and their clients. We do not provide, supervise or guarantee any services booked through the platform.
Business owners are solely responsible for the services they offer, their pricing, their conduct and their compliance with all applicable laws.
2. Subscriptions and billing
- Business owner subscriptions are £19.99 per month, billed monthly.
- A 14-day free trial is available on first registration. No payment is taken during the trial.
- Subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless cancelled.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — your access continues until then.
- No refunds are issued after the first 14 days of a paid subscription, except at our sole discretion.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' written notice to existing subscribers.
- Client accounts are free and will remain free.
3. Acceptable use policy
When using Bookd, you must not:
- use Bookd for any illegal purpose or in violation of any UK law or regulation;
- use Bookd to offer or facilitate services that are illegal in the United Kingdom;
- impersonate another person or business, or provide false information;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or to other users' data;
- use the platform to send spam, unsolicited messages or harassing communications;
- upload content that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent or harmful;
- use automated tools to scrape, crawl or extract data from the platform.
We reserve the right to investigate any suspected breach of this policy. We may suspend or permanently terminate any account that we reasonably believe has violated these terms, without notice and without refund. We may report suspected illegal activity to the relevant authorities.
4. Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account immediately and without notice if:
- the user has breached these terms;
- the user has provided false information;
- subscription payment has failed and has not been resolved within 7 days;
- we reasonably suspect fraudulent or illegal activity.
On termination, the user's booking page is immediately deactivated. Existing data is retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
Users may delete their own account at any time from their account settings.
5. "As is" software
- Bookd is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted or available at all times.
- We do not guarantee that the platform will meet your specific business requirements.
- Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice.
- We are not responsible for any loss of data caused by technical failures, though we take reasonable steps to back up data regularly.
6. Limitation of liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Bookd shall not exceed the total subscription fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, including but not limited to: lost profits, lost revenue, lost bookings, loss of business opportunity, reputational damage or damage to client relationships.
- We are not liable for any losses arising from: platform downtime, data loss, third party service failures (including Stripe, Supabase or email providers), or the actions of other users on the platform.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Data and privacy
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Bookd you agree to our Privacy Policy.
Business owners are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to collect and process their clients' personal data through the platform, and must have their own privacy policy if required by law. We act as a data processor on behalf of business owners for client data stored on the platform.
8. Intellectual property
Bookd and all associated branding, software, content and design are owned by Daniel Lockwood. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the platform.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Bookd shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The current version of these terms is always available at /terms.
